우리 사회의 다양한 윤리적 쟁점을 비판적으로 탐구한다. 죽음의 문제와 생명의 의미를 검토하면서 도덕성에 관한 철학적 사색을 시작한다. 윤리학의 근원을 이해하기 위해 영향력 있는 규범 윤리 이론으로서 공리주의, 의무론, 덕이론을 탐구한다. 부가적으로 윤리학과 종교의 관계, 계약과 합의를 바탕으로 한 도덕, 도덕에 대한 비평을 살펴보면서 윤리학에 대한 이해를 넓힌다. 또한, 윤리학이 일상에서 일어나는 문제를 어떻게 조명하는지, 중대한 상황에 부딪혔을 때 어떻게 하면 더 나은 사고를 할 수 있는지 함께 논의한다.

The objective of this course is to critically explore various ethical issues in our society. First, we will start philosophical contemplation on morality while reviewing the issue of death and the meaning of life. Next, in order to understand the source of ethics, we will explore the influential normative ethics theories such as utilitarianism, obligation theory, and virtue theory. In addition, we will broaden our understanding of ethics by examining the relationship between ethics and religion, morality based on contracts and agreements, criticism of morality. We will also discuss how ethics shed light on problems that occur in everyday life and how to think better when faced with serious situations.

This course aims to seek a Sustainable Development by critically exploring new issues(digital human, data bias, medical Artificial Intelligence, educational Artificial Intelligence, military Artificial Intelligence, smart factory ethics, convergence new media, autonomous driving) emerging in the age of Artificial Intelligence within UNESCO’s AI ethics recommendations, AI national strategy presentations, Basic Law on Intelligent Informatization, traditional ethics, AI ethics principles(bias, fairness, transparency, explainability, obligation).

본 교과는 인류의 생존을 위협하는 기후변화의 원인과 영향, 이에 대한 다양한 대안과 시도들을 분석함으로써 생태윤리의 관점에서 기후위기를 극복하기 위한 개인적, 사회적 차원에서의 기후 행동을 실천하는 역량을 기르는 것을 목표로 한다. 기후 변화에 대한 윤리적 쟁점을 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 기후 변화에 대한 개인의 도덕적 책임에 대해 탐색함으로써, 실패를 두려워하지 않고 삶에 대한 열정을 가지고 새로운 목표 및 과업을 끊임없이 추구하여 실천하는 능력을 기를 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

This course aims to develop the capacity to practice climate action at the individual and social level to overcome the climate crisis from the perspective of ecological ethics by analyzing the causes and effects of climate change that threatens the survival of mankind, and various alternatives and attempts. By examining the ethical issues of climate change and exploring individual moral responsibility for climate change based on this, it is possible to develop the ability to continuously pursue and practice new goals and tasks with a passion for life without fear of failure.

윤리학의 기초를 이루는 다양한 개념과 이론을 소개하고 검토하는 것을 목표로 한다. 윤리학의 여러 개념들이 정확히 어떤 의미로 사용되며 어떤 맥락에서 윤리적 논의의 대상이 되는지를 소개하고, 이를 바탕으로 여러 윤리 이론들의 기본 주장과 장단점을 비판적으로 검토한다. 선악과 옳고 그름, 자유, 평등, 권리 등의 개념이 지닌 의미와 맥락을 소개하고 덕 윤리, 의무론, 결과론, 자연법 이론, 상대주의, 이기주의 등의 이론을 분석함으로써 윤리학 전반에 대한 기본 지식을 제공하고 윤리적 사고의 기법을 익히도록 한다.

This course aims to introduce and examine the various concepts and theories underlying ethics. And it introduces what different concepts of ethics are used and in what context they are subject to ethical discussion, and critically examines the basic arguments and various ethical theories. It introduces the meaning and context of the concepts of good and evil and right and wrong, freedom, equality, and rights, and analyzes theories of virtue ethics, deontology, consequential theory, natural law theory, relativism, and egoism, providing basic knowledge about overall ethics and ethical thinking.

이 강좌는 현대사회의 윤리적 쟁점들, 가령 기후변화와 환경, 평화와 통일, 다문화 시민성, 동양윤리의 현대적 의의 등에 대한 이론적 이해를 현장 체험과 결부시킴으로써 각 윤리적 쟁점에 대한 구체적이고도 깊이 있는 이해를 증진시키는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수강생들은 스스로 쟁점과 관련을 지니는 현장을 선정하고 답사하면서 발표와 토론 및 세미나를 수행할 것이다.

This course aims to enhance students’ detailed and in-depth understanding of each ethical issue by linking the theoretical understanding of the ethical issues of modern society(climate change & environment, peace and unification, multicultural citizenship, and modern significances of oriental ethics etc.) with field experience. To this end, students will conduct presentations, discussions, and seminars while selecting and exploring sites related to issues on their own.

전공 저학년을 대상으로 민주주의의 역사, 이념, 제도, 현대적 흐름에 관한 체계적 이해를 목적으로 한다. 민주주의와 관련한 사상가와 이론가들의 여러 논의를 개괄하고 검토한다. 민주주의의 역사적 발전 과정에서 배양된 사유와 고민들을 실천적 관점에서 재조명한다. 민주 시민으로서 자질을 함양뿐만 아니라, 중등 교육 현장에서 요구하는 시민의식,민주성에 관한 이론 및 실천적 지식을 배가하게 된다.

The purpose of this course is to systematically understand the history, ideology, institutions, and modern flows of democracy for the lower grades. Outline and review various discussions of thinkers and theorists on democracy. Rethinking the thoughts and concerns cultivated in the historical development of democracy from a practical point of view. In addition to developing their qualities as democratic citizens, they will also double the theoretical and practical knowledge of citizenship and democracy required in secondary education.

이 강의의 목표는 도덕.윤리 예비 교사들이 동양적 사유의 원천이라고 할 수 있는 중국 선진 시기 제자백가 사상의 기본 성격과 개념들을 이해하도록 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 이 강의에서는 제자백가 가운데 유가, 도가, 묵가, 법가, 명가, 음양가의 문제의식과 주요 주장들을 살펴보고, 인간과 사회 및 세계에 대한 각각의 관점을 소개할 것이다. 제자백가 사상에 대한 전반적인 검토는 동양 사상을 이해하고, 그 윤리적 함의를 읽어내는 데 있어 밑바탕이 될 것이다.

This course aims to improve pre-service ethics teachers' understanding of the thoughts and concepts of ancient Chinese philosophy. In the course, students will examine the concerns and arguments of Confucianism, Taoism, Moism, Legalism, School of Names, and School of Yin-yang and explore their views on human, society and the world. The study of ancient Chinese philosophy will be the basis for understanding Eastern thought and its ethical implications.

The course aims to understand the ideology that is summed up in the frame of thought and political action of individuals and groups with a desirable community in mind. Students will learn the process of the creation and development of the dominant ideologies in modern society. Study the main concepts, political reasons, and concrete practices of specific ideologies. Students can cultivate the knowledge of the political phenomenon of reality and the critical identification of ideological competition.

This course aims to improve the preservice teachers' ability of instructional design and implementation of school moral and ethics education. According to these objectives, learning contents include goals, aims, morally educated person, core values and virtues of traditional and modern ethical thoughts, perspectives on morality and moral development etc. This course focuses on principles and methods of teaching and learning, principles and methods of assessing student's moral learning, fostering student's moral development based on evaluation and lesson planning skills.

서양 윤리의 기본이 되는 고전적 규범 윤리 이론들을 폭넓게 검토하는 것을 목표로 한다. 고대 그리스에서 중세를 거쳐 근대에 이르기까지 등장한, 다양한 규범 윤리 이론들의 특징과 기본 주장, 사회적 맥락 등을 비판적으로 고찰한다. 이를 통해 서양 윤리 이론 전반에 대한 기본 지식을 습득하고 전체적인 흐름을 파악한다. 이를 바탕으로 임용시험에 필요한 기본 지식을 습득하고, 윤리 이론을 다른 사람들에게 가르치는 능력과 기법도 함께 기르려 한다.

This course aims to examine a wide range of classical normative ethical theories that are the basis of Western ethics. We critically examines the characteristics, basic arguments, and social contexts of various normative ethical theories that emerged from ancient Greece to the Middle Ages to modern times. Through this, students acquire basic knowledge about Western ethical theory and grasp the overall history of ethics. Based on this, the students will acquire the basic knowledge necessary for the teacher employment examination and develop the skills and techniques to teach ethical theory to others.

This course aims to improve preservice teachers' knowledge of the theory of unification education and their ability to design and implement instruction related to unification in school moral and ethical classes. According to these objectives, learning contents include characteristics of unification education in moral and ethical education, teaching and learning methods of unification edcuation, knowledge of unification related issues such as inter-Korean relations, unification policies, unification process and future oriented values, and empical research results on adolescents' unification consciousness.

This course aims to improve pre-service ethics teachers' understanding of the ideas and concepts of Neo-Confucianism. Neo-Confucianism, represented by the studies of Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming, embraces the philosophy of Confucius and Mencius, and makes their philosophical interpretations of human, society, and the world. In the course, students will learn the knowledge necessary to understand East Asian values and norms by focusing on the ethical discussion of Neo-Confucianism.

This course aims to improve preservice ethics teacher’s knowledge of the history of western philosophy. This course includes principal theories and thinkers in western philosophy from antiquity to the present. The history of philosophy provides an ideal introduction to the entire field of philosophical thought. The history of philosophy explores the entire system of each philosopher not merely his conclusions in specialized areas, such as logic, metaphysics, ethics, political philosophy, epistemology. Based on the history of western philosophy, the students will acquire the basic knowledge necessary for the teacher employment examination and develop the skills and techniques to teach social philosophy to others.

This course aims to promote pre-service teachers' peace competencies such as knowledge of Peace Studies, skills of peaceful conflict resolution, ethical communication and discourse and professoinalisms of peace education, especially teaching and learning methods to cultivate students' peace competencies. According to these objectives, learning contents include social conflict and integration, ethics of communication and discourse, global conflict resolution and peace realization, and responsibility and contribution to the global community. In particular, this course focuses on ethical communication and discourse, ethical resolutuion of ideology conflict, regional conflict, generational conflict in Korean society and international disputes in the global village based on the value of respect and trust era, ethical theories and experiences of East and West on the ethical responsibility and contribution of global citizens such as anti-humanitarian crime, the gap between rich and poor between countries, the problem of absolute poverty, and the global community's ethical responsibilities such as overseas aid, and communication ethics to overcome social conflicts at home and abroad, and related empiralcal research results.

This course aims to introduce pre-service ethics teachers to the formation and development of Korean Thought and to its uniqueness and characteristics. The course examines that the concepts and theories of Korean Thoughts have developed under the influence of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Throughout this course, students will be able to comprehensively understand the various academic discussions of Korean thoughts.

민주화 이후, 아직도 민주주의 발전이 심화 성숙되지 못한 한국의 현실을 주목한다. 시민의 실존적 삶이 국가, 정치, 민주주의와 분리되지 않고 유기적으로 결합되는 생활민주주의의 정립을 모색하고, 이를 토대로 한국의 민주주의와 시민사회의 성숙 심화 발전을 위한 시민교육의 내용과 특성을 학습함을 목적으로 한다. 민주화 이후 한국의 민주주의 발전과 시민사회의 성장과정의 특성을 현대 한국정치의 조망과 생활민주주의 라는 새로운 패러다임의 모색을 통해 분석한다. 학생은 보다 성숙한 민주주의와 시민사회를 위한 시민교육의 과제가 무엇인지를 깊이 통찰하는 계기를 가질 수 있다.

After democratization, We still find that the development of democracy in Korea is not deepened and not matured. The purpose of this class is to search out building of life democracy that citizen's life is not separated but integrated to state, politics, and democracy. In additions, it is aimed at studying the contents and features of civic education for deepening and maturation of Korean democracy and civil society. The development and maturation process of Korean democracy and civil society will be analyzed in view of modern Korean politics and new paradigm for life democracy will be searched. Students will have the opportunity to deliberate the problems of civil education for more matured democracy and civil society.

이 강의는 우리사회가 지향하고 있는 복지국가의 역사와 이론과 쟁점들을 서구의 주요 국가들을 중심으로 살펴보고, 이에 비추어 한국 사회복지의 현황과 과제를 검토한다. 이를 통해 도덕.윤리과 예비 교사로서 도덕과 교육의 복지관련 내용의 의의와 한계 및 과제를 논한다.

In this course students will at first learn the history of 'Welfare State' and explore the theories and issues related to it, focusing on the cases of major western countries. They will also examine the current situations of Korea’s welfare and its problems to be solved in the future, in comparison with the welfare of western countries. They will further discuss the significance and the limitations of the welfare-related content in the teaching of morality subject at present, along with its future tasks.

This course aims to improve preservice ethics teacher’s knowledge of western social philosophy. This course includes principal theories and thinkers in social philosophy from antiquity to the present. Social thought of classical thinkers, including Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Mill, Spencer, and Marx. Based on this, the students will acquire the basic knowledge necessary for the teacher employment examination and develop the skills and techniques to teach social philosophy to others.

본 강의는 예비교사의 학교 도덕.윤리과 교과서와 교수.학습자료 분석, 특히 학생들의 발달 수준, 능력 흥미 등에 적합한 자료 재구성 및 개발 역량 그리고 이를 도덕성 발달을 촉진하는 교수.학습방법을 초함한 수업 전문성 역량을 향상하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적에 따라 학습 내용은 도덕성 발달 목적, 학습자 특성, 교수.학습방법, 도덕성 발달 평가의 일체화를 고려한 교과서와 교수.학습자료 비교 분석 기준과 방법, 도덕성을 구성하는 요소인 민감성, 판단력, 동기화, 품성의 균형 있는 발달에 적합한 교과서와 자료 개선 및 개발 방법을 중심으로 한다. 그리고 학생들의 도덕성 사고와 행동 발달을 효과적으로 촉진하는 도덕.윤리과 교수·학습방법인 토론, 논술, 도덕적 성찰, 가치명료화, 탐구공동체, 봉사학습, 윤리상담 등의 이론과 방법을 중심으로 한다. 이를 위해 예비교사의 교수·학습과정안 작성, 수업 실연, 동료 및 교수의 피드백을 통한 개선 방법을 활용한다.

This course aims to promote pre-service teachers' professinoalism to analyzes textbooks and teaching and learning materials used in school moral and ethical education, especially the ability to reconstruct and develop materials suitable for students' development level, ability, and interests, etc. According to these objectives, learning contents include textbook analysis standards and methods considering the purpose of moral development, learner characteristics, teaching and learning methods, and moral development evaluation. It focuses on textbooks and material improvement and development methods suitable for balanced development of morality. In addition, it focuses on theories and methods such as discussion, essay writing, moral reflection, value clarification, inquiry community, service learning, and ethical counseling that promote students' moral thinking and behavior development. To this end, metods of lesson plan presentation, feedback from colleagues and professors, and lesson plan revision are used.

한반도 통일의 외적 환경이라고 할 수 있는 국제관계의 변화와 한반도에 우호적인 국제 환경을 만들기 위한 전략적 지혜를 학습하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 세계적 맥락에서 국제정세의 발전을 개략적으로 추적하고 동아시아 역내 정세의 변화를 집중적으로 학습한다. 한반도 주변 강대국의 이해관계 속에서 공존 번영할 수 있는 전략을 도출한다. 한반도 통일 과정에서 자주성 원칙의 중요성뿐만 아니라 남북한 통합에 필수적인 대외적 평화 협력을 모색할 수 있는 시야를 갖게 되며, 중등 교육 현장에서 요구되는 통일교육의 소양을 갖추게 된다.

The objective of this course is to learn about the changes in international relations, the external environment of Korean unification, and the strategic wisdom to create a friendly international environment on the Korean peninsula. This course provides an overview of the development of international affairs in a global context and focuses on the changes in the situation in East Asia. We will derive strategies for coexistence and prosperity in the interests of the powerful nations around the Korean Peninsula. The course explores that Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist ideas originated in China and India and developed their ethical perspectives variously. This course is for intermediate grade students. The purpose of this course is to study the thoughts of Western thinkers who have a good political order in their time. Students will study the political thoughts of major thinkers either diachronically or synchronically. Thinking about the state of the classical and antique times, constructing the ideal state of Christianity and modern social contract theory are the main subjects. Students will develop the ability to foresee to contribute to the establishment of a better political community and will have the knowledge required for secondary education.

This course aims to improve students’ understanding of some important issues about morality. The subjects of this course are characteristics of moral reasoning, responses to subjective or relativistic morality, basic moral theories and principles, analyses and evaluation of moral arguments, moral realism, the rationality of moral action, subjectivism and non-cognitivism, naturalism, and various theories of practical reason. This course aims to provide an in-depth look at Western ethics, especially modern ethics. In addition to the general development of rationalism and empirical theory, the ethical theory of philosophers in each tradition is compared and examined in more depth. We examine Spinoza, Leibniz in Rationalism and Hobbes, Locke, Hume in the empirical theory, and how their theories are later connected to Kant and utilitarianism. Based on this, we will also develop the ability to teach modern ethical theories effectively.

This course aims to introduce the background and various themes and contexts of applied ethics, which are currently widely discussed in our society, and to develop the ability to effectively educate various topics of applied ethics. After clarifying the meaning and justification of the various basic principles used in applied ethics, the arguments for and against the topics, such as euthanasia, artificial abortion, sexual ethics, suicide, and the death penalty, are examined in detail. This course also develops the ability to convincingly convey the topics to others and encourage discussion.

The content of this course includes Lebensphilosophie, existentialism and the critical theory in European philosophy and metaethics, pragmatism, Rawls, Nozick and communitarianism in English-American philosophy. If political theory of North Korea focuses on the formation and maintenance of the North Korean regime, the course will highlight various social issues centering on the daily lives of North Koreans. 이 강의의 목표는 도덕.윤리 예비 교사들이 대표적인 동양의 고전을 읽으면서 동양 사상의 윤리적 문제의식과 지향을 직접 확인하도록 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 이 강의에서는 유가, 도가, 불교의 문헌에서 인간과 사회 및 세계에 대한 주요 언급들을 발췌하여 살펴볼 것이다. 이러한 과정을 통해 우리는 가치 있는 삶에 대한 동양 사상의 입장을 확인하고, 나아가 윤리적 삶으로 나아가기 위한 구체적인 방법을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.

This course aims to train pre-service ethics teachers to read and interpret the Eastern classics. The course will examine philosophical and ethical references excerpted from texts of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Throughout this course, students will be able to understand what is the valuable life from the perspective of Eastern thoughts and explore how to make our life meaningful.

이 강의는 도덕.윤리 예비교사들에게 우리가 일상생활에서 부딪치는 도덕 문제가 무엇이고, 도덕문제를 합리적으로 해결할 수 있는 방법이 무엇인가에 대해 알려줄 것이다. 이 강의는 고등학교 윤리교과서인 '생활과 윤리'에 나오는 내용을 중심으로 진행될 것이다. 학생들은 이 강의를 통해 도덕.윤리교사로서 필요한 지식을 얻고, 임용고사에 대비할 수 있을 것이다.

This course offers students the conceptual tools and philosophical skills necessary to understand what values are operating in specific moral issues and how rationally to resolve the moral problems that grow out of diverging or conflicting personal or social values. Based on this, the students also develop the ability to teach high school textbook, Life and Ethics. And they acquire the basic knowledge necessary for the teacher employment examination and develop the skills and techniques to teach social philosophy to others.
